This week we have continued to learn class and school routines and the children have impressed us with how quickly they are settling in.
We introduced Drawing Club this week, which is the way we teach English. We read ‘The Little Red Hen and invented a yucky topping for the bread and a new baddy!
We have looked at our school’s address and found it on a map of Standish. The children have shared the different places they know in Standish and helped to create a page in the floor book.
We have continued to practise the sounds /s/, /a/, /t/, /i/ and /m/ which we have used to build and read words.
We were excited to visit the forest for the first time, where we looked for signs of Autumn. We picked lots of apples from the trees and the children loved eating them for snack.
