We have had another fantastic week of learning in Year 2!
In English, we have been building noun phrases and using them to write detailed character descriptions about Paddington Bear. We also explored Paddington's thoughts and feelings, writing from his perspective when he was travelling on the bus and visiting the Royal Garden.
In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of place value and have been using place value charts to help us partition numbers to 100. We have also been practising writing numbers to 100 in words.
In Science, we started our new topic, Animals Including Humans. We learnt about the word offspring and discussed what it means. We also investigated the names of different animals' offspring and enjoyed discovering some interesting names for example a baby llama is called a cria.
In History, we began our new topic about Queen Elizabeth II. We looked at the royal family tree and explored the relationships between different members of the Royal Family.
In Computing, we have been learning about information technology and identifying the different types of technology we use in school every day.
Well done to everyone for another fantastic week in school. We are very proud of all your hard work and enthusiasm for learning.
Have a lovely weekend! 😊
