We’ve had a great week this week!
In Maths, we’ve continued our topic of Addition and Subtraction. We have added and subtracted 1s across a 10 and added 10s across a 100.
In English, the children have planned a recount from the yeti’s perspective about their time in Antarctica. The children began to write some fantastic recounts, I’ve loved reading them all!
In Geography, we continued to look at how agriculture has changed the landscape in the UK.
In Art, we looked at which colours William Morris used in his art work. We then had a go at mixing primary and tertiary colours together to create the desired colours from a specific piece by William Morris.
In Science, we investigated how water is transported within plants.
In Assembly, we had some visitors from Wigan Warriors, who did a talk about mental health and how we can look after ourselves and each other.
Due to it being Mental Health Day on Wednesday, we all showed our support by wearing yellow on Friday. It was lovely to see all the children in their bright clothes. We also completed an activity where the children drew some drawings relating to different feelings and emotions.
I hope you all have a great weekend,
Miss Hunter
