World Mental Health Day
Today, we were visited by the Wigan Warriors Community Trust who spoke about the importance of mental health and looking out for each other. The coaches mentioned ways in which the children can stay active and healthy and how to reduce stress. A big thank you to the coaches and staff for coming in and speaking to the children.
Ten Pin Bowling
On Wednesday, children from Year 5 and 6 took part in the annual Wigan Ten Pin Bowling Event, which was held at Hollywood Bowl in Wigan. The children were up against 22 other schools in the borough across the morning and afternoon and finished in a brilliant 4th place. Some brilliant strikes and spares were on display throughout the morning, with the team achieving an overall score of 504 points. Well done to Henry (Y5) who achieved the highest score of the team with 89! Overall, the children had a brilliant time and represented the school fantastically well.
