This week we have started our new topic light and dark, we have been exploring things we do in the day and things we do at night. We have also looked at why we have day and why we have night. The children have looked at different light sources torches, lamps, candles, moon, sun or stars and we have explored shadows using torches in the classroom.  

In Drawing Club, we read ‘Peace at last’, and in Maths we have looked at recognising and subitising numbers 1-3.
 
We have introduced new sound /g/ in our phonics lessons and have built and read cvc words using all the sounds taught so far.

Wood Fold Open Day

School Admissions 2026


As part of our welcome we would like to invite you to our Open Day, which is being held on Tuesday 4th November from 9.30 am - 10.30 am or 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm.  You will be shown around school and have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you may have.  There will also be a chance to look at the curriculum we offer to the children, and see the work our children produce.
