This week we have started our new topic 'light and dark', we have been exploring things we do in the day and things we do at night. We have also looked at why we have day and why we have night. The children have looked at different light sources such as torches, lamps, candles, moon, sun or stars and we have explored shadows using torches in the classroom.  

In Drawing Club, we read ‘Peace at last’, and in Maths we have looked at recognising and subitising numbers 1-3.

We have introduced new sound /g/ in our phonics lessons and have built and read cvc words using all the sounds taught so far.

The children enjoyed going down to forest school this week, they played some autumn games as a class and created a forest school banner using autumn colours.
