We have had a lovely hot week in Reception!

 

This week, as we get ready for transition, we have been talking about our favourite memories from Reception. The children each drew a picture of their favourite memory, which was lovely to see.

 

In Maths, the children have been exploring maps. They looked at a map from The Gruffalo and created their own, as well as drawing maps of their route to school and the things they see along the way.

 

In Drawing Club, we read Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis and Gwen Millward and drew maps to help Bog Baby find his way back to the pond.

 

Our Healthy Me topic focused on sleep and exercise this week, and how it helps us to stay healthy and grow.

 

On Thursday and Friday, the children had the chance to meet their new teachers Miss Slater and Mrs Dawber and spend some time being Year 1 for two days, they were all fantastic and had a great time!

 

I can't believe we only have one more week of Reception left!
