This week, as we get ready for transition, we have been talking about our favourite memories of our year in Reception. We spent time looking through our floor book together and remeniscing, before the children each drew a picture of their favourite memory. It was lovely to see all the children's differerent ideas - some of them really made me smile.
On Thursday and Friday, the children had the chance to meet their new teachers and spend the day in their new classroom there were a few nerves before hand, but everyone came back smiling and Mrs Morris was delighted with how well they settled.
In Maths, the children have been exploring maps. They looked at a map from The Gruffalo and created their own, as well as drawing maps of their route to school and the things they see along the way. In Drawing Club, we read Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis and Gwen Millward and drew maps to help Bog Baby find his way back to the pond.
Our Healthy Me topic focused on sleep and exercise this week, and how it helps us to stay healthy and grow.
I can't believe we only have one more week of Reception left!
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Harris
