This week in reception, we have been busy with lots of exciting learning. In Maths, we explored simple patterns in the environment and created our own repeating patterns using a range of objects and resources.

In Drawing Club, we enjoyed the story Little Red Riding Hood. The children used their imaginations to design clever new disguises for the wolf and thought about how Little Red Riding Hood could make lots of cakes for Grandma. They shared creative ideas, drew detailed pictures and developed their storytelling skills.

As part of our dinosaur topic, we learned about herbivores and carnivores, discussing what different dinosaurs ate and sorting them into groups.

During Forest School, the children created leaf art, and enjoyed exploring the outdoor environment, investigating the natural world around them through play and discovery.

We are very proud of all the fantastic learning that has taken place this week! 🦕🌳📚

Have a lovely weekend,

The reception team.
