This week, the children described worms in English and we collated their ideas to make a class poem:
Worms
By Reception T
Worms are clever,
Worms live in the soil under the ground,
Worms are strong,
They wriggle and move with their bristles,
Worms dig tunnels and slither in and out.
Worms are beautiful,
Worms are pink and red,
Worms are long,
Worms have rings,
They are wet, sticky and slimy, and are covered in mucus.
I like catching worms,
Worms like the wet and pop up when it rains,
They wiggle in my hand,
Worms eat rotten leaves and are good for the plants.
Worms are NOT yucky
They are so nice!
In Maths, we have begun to explore addition and subtraction though stories and games. In science, we learnt about the life cycle of a butterfly, we watched time-lapse footage which fascinated the children. The children have painted more beautiful butterflies this week inspired by Lucy Arnold.
Have a lovely weekend 😊
