Year 5 Football Competition

Some of our children from Year 4 and 5 were lucky enough to take part in a football event on Wednesday, which was held at The Brick Community Stadium (home to Wigan Athletic). The children got to experience playing on the pitch, sitting in the dugout and performing in competitive matches in front of their parents and guardians. The children were placed into a group with 6 other teams, were they won 3 of their matches, drew 1 and lost 2.

Even though the children didn’t make it through to the quarter finals, they played exceptionally well and got to experience to play on a professional football team’s ground, which I’m sure the children won’t forget. Well done to all of the children.
