The Lacrosse Foundation
This week, children from Year 3 and 4 were introduced to the sport of lacrosse during lunchtime. The children got to use the lacrosse sticks where they were introduced to the basics of the sport, such as ball control, passing and moving with the ball. Our Year 6 children also engaged in lacrosse during their PE lesson. The children loved learning and playing the new sport of lacrosse and are already looking forward to next week’s lesson with coach George.
World Book Day
Yesterday, Reception took part in a special World Book Day PE lesson. The children took part in a range of different activities such as throwing items onto books, climbing up the Gruffalo’s back, performing a ‘Golden’ egg roll from Jack and the Beanstalk, rolling a ball at Disney books and jumping on the seven dwarfs. The children thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and it was fantastic seeing the children being active and engaging in their PE lesson whilst dressed up as their favourite book characters.
Miss Whalley
Congratulations go to our very own Miss Whalley (Former Wood Fold pupil) who has been selected as one of the riders to represent BSPS on the International Team travelling to South Africa later this year. This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful opportunity to compete on the international stage. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to following your journey to South Africa.
