It was lovely to welcome the children into school this week – they have really impressed us with how well they have settled into school life.

We read ‘Our Class is a Family’ by Shannon Olsen, and talked about similarities between home and school. We introduced the class floor book, where we record our learning, and everyone drew a picture of themselves to put inside.

We have been getting to know our way around the classroom and outside area – we even drew a map to remind us where things are!

We started our phonics journey, introducing the sounds /s/, /a/, /t/, /i/ and /m/ and couldn’t be prouder of the enthusiasm and determination the children have shown.
