What a fantastic week we've had in Year 1! We're thrilled to share the delightful learning experiences your children have been diving into. Here's a little window into our classroom adventures this week.

**Exploring the World of Black Rock**
This week, we've embarked on a journey with *The Secret of Black Rock* by Joe Todd-Stanton. As we explored the pages of this enchanting story, the children were captivated by the mysterious world beneath the waves. We began discussing the themes and characters, and the children are already excited to share their thoughts and predictions.

**Mathematicians on the Number Line**
In Maths, we've been mastering our way through numbers up to 100. The children have been busy hopping along the number line, discovering the wonders of 1 more and 1 less. We've tackled challenges, all while building their confidence with numbers.

**Seasonal Science Spectacles**
Science has been all about comparing the seasons. The children have been observing the changes each season brings, from the vibrant colours of autumn leaves to the frosty promise of winter. We discussed how these changes affect nature, animals, and us. Perhaps this weekend, you can explore these seasonal changes on a walk or at a local park!

**Geography: Discovering Blackpool's Magic**
Our geography journey whisked us away again to Blackpool, where we discovered some of its most famous landmarks. The children explored maps to find where the Blackpool Tower and the sandy beaches are located.

We're so proud of the enthusiasm and curiosity your children bring to their learning each day. Please encourage them to share their experiences and continue exploring these topics at home.

Thank you for your continued support and for making this learning journey so joyous for your children.

Warm regards,

Year 1 Team
