We’ve had another great week in Year 3!
In Maths, we have started the unit of Addition and Subtraction. The children have been applying number bonds within 10 and adding 1s, 10s, and 100s to 3-digit numbers.
In English, we have continued reading our class text ‘The Abominables’. The yetis have been dropped off in Antarctica and are feeling discouraged, would Con and Ellen really do this to them? Meanwhile, Con and Ellen were back in London planning a demonstration outside Buckingham Palace to persuade the Queen to stop the Hunter’s Club from killing the yetis. Thankfully, the demonstration worked and the yetis were saved by The British Antarctic Survey.
In Geography, we looked at how farming has changed the landscape in the UK.
In Science, we have been recapping our knowledge from Year 2 about what a plant needs for growth.
In Art, we looked at the colour wheel and what primary, secondary and tertiary colours are. We used paint to mix and make our own colour wheels.
Hope you have a lovely weekend,
Miss Hunter
