Another busy week in Year 2.
This week in History we have been finding out about the Queen’s jubilees. We explored how people have celebrated these major milestones. We enjoyed looking at the different artefacts that symbolised the Queen’s jubilees.
In our Science sessions this week we have been looking at the different stages of the life cycle of a frog. We found out that frog spawn turns into a tadpole, froglet and then a frog.
In DT, we have been sewing the running stitch on felt. We then evaluated our sewing skills thinking about what worked well, what we found difficult and what we would do better next time.
In Maths, we have been learning our number bonds to 10 and 20. We have also been learning our 5 times table.
During our English lessons, we have enjoyed reading our new class text ‘Katie in London’. We have been answering questions about the events in the text.
Unfortunately, due to the bad weather we were unable to visit the forest this afternoon. However, we had a great time in school creating an A-Z of Autumn and making posters to show the different signs of Autumn.
Have a lovely weekend!
