This week in Reception, we have been busy with lots of exciting learning!

In Drawing Club, we enjoyed reading Dinosaur Roar by Paul Stickland. The children loved exploring the different dinosaurs in the story and used their imaginations to draw, create and talk about their own dinosaur adventures.

In Maths, we have been comparing size, mass and capacity. The children used practical resources to investigate which objects were bigger or smaller, heavier or lighter, and which containers held more or less.

At Forest School, we continued our autumn-themed activities. The children created beautiful leaf prints, made leaf creatures using natural materials and worked together to produce colourful pumpkin collages.

In RE, we talked about Harvest and discussed the different foods that can be harvested. The children thought about where food comes from and why Harvest is an important time of year.

In History, we were excited to introduce our new topic on dinosaurs. We began learning about these fascinating creatures and shared what we already know and would like to find out.

We have had a wonderful week of learning and look forward to sharing more of our dinosaur discoveries with you soon! 🦕🍂🎃

Have a lovely weekend,
