Boccia Champions

After the success from the Wigan boccia competition earlier on this year, the Wood Fold boccia team competed in the Greater Manchester Finals yesterday at Robin Park, Wigan. The team were put in a group against teams from Bolton, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale and I am pleased to say they came out victorious and won the group. From here, the team made it all the way through to the finals where they defeated XII Apostles 6-0, crowning themselves as the Greater Manchester champions. With this victory, the team are now through to the regional finals, which will be held in Liverpool towards the end of June. An amazing achievement from the boys! All that hard work has definitely paid off!
