Parents Information

Parents are their child's first and most important educators. At Fledglings our aim is to work fully in partnership to ensure their children receive outstanding quality care and education.

We offer a wide range of opportunities for parent/carers to become involved within the setting.

Open door policy - key person available at end or beginning of session. Managers door is always open.

Key person role - Settling children into the setting by developing a trusting relationship and supporting their interests.  From this secure base they can explore new ideas and experiences together with the support of parents. Observing, assessing, monitoring them and reporting back this information to parents regularly.

Play along sessions - available throughout the year for parents and carers to join in with their children, see what happened in setting and how they can support their child's learning and development.

Reports and meeting - provided when information is shared regarding their progress and next steps.

Workshops - to support and extend the parents and carers.

Blog - regular updates on events that have taken place

Monthly Newsletter - will give to you monthly when you require

Notice Board - Daily updates

Fees - term after child's third birthday at present you are entitled to fifteen hours free childcare per week. If attending over fifteen hours per week it is an additional cost of £4.00 per hour. If your child is younger the rate at present is £5.00 per hour.

Opening hours - 8.15 am to 4.00 pm every day term time. Within school additional wrap around care provided.

Lunchtime - Hot meals are available to purchase via the school kitchen where the children serve themselves independently, or you can provide a packed lunch for which we will provide healthy lunch box ideas.  An ice pack is recommended at all times.  Please see the school menu.

Uniform - Optional but a sweatshirt is available to purchase which denotes our emblem.

Questionnaires - We value parents opinions and encourage parents input.
